This Privacy Policy describes how BartaAI ("we", "our", or "us") handles information in connection with the BartaAI Windows desktop voice-to-text software application and the official website at https://bartaai.com.

2. Local Dictation History & Productivity Statistics

Based on the verified BartaAI Windows desktop application interface, the software provides local history and personal productivity tracking directly on your device:

• Saved Dictation Transcripts: Dictated text entries, timestamps, character counts, word counts, and speaking rate (words per minute) are displayed in your Dashboard and History tabs.
• On-Device Productivity Analytics: As stated in the software's Statistics view, "Live statistics computed from your real dictation history on this device" calculate your 7-day and 30-day word totals, speaking speed, time saved compared to a 40 WPM typing baseline, and busiest dictation hours.
• Configurable Local History Retention: Under Settings → Data & Backup → History retention, you can control how long past dictations are kept on your device: 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or Keep forever.

3. Voice Input & Speech Recognition Processing

When you activate voice dictation using Caps Lock, F8, or the in-app microphone button, BartaAI captures audio from your microphone to convert spoken words into written text across your Windows applications.

• Third-Party Speech-to-Text Conversion: BartaAI utilizes external third-party speech recognition services to process audio and convert your voice into text in real time. When you dictate, your audio data is transmitted securely to the third-party service provider solely to perform this transcription.
• Zero Data Storage or Monitoring by BartaAI: BartaAI itself does not collect, monitor, view, or store your voice audio, dictation text, or transcription history on any cloud server. We have zero visibility into what you speak or dictate. All saved dictation history, productivity metrics, and logs remain strictly stored on your local Windows PC.
• Third-Party Data Retention & AI Training: Please note that while BartaAI never stores your voice or dictation history, the independent third-party speech engine service that converts your voice into text may store audio recordings or use transcription data to train and improve their artificial intelligence models in accordance with their own data handling and privacy policies.

4. Data Portability, Export & Deletion Controls

BartaAI gives you direct, self-service control over your saved dictation history inside the Windows application:

• Individual Deletion: Delete any specific dictation entry at any time using the delete button on each card in the History tab.
• Two-Step Bulk Clear All: Wipe your entire saved dictation history from the History tab using the two-step Clear all confirmation button.
• Local Data Export (JSON & CSV): Export your saved dictations to your computer as structured BartaAI_History.json or BartaAI_History.csv files under Settings → Data & Backup.
• Backup Restore: Restore previously exported dictation logs using the Import Backup feature.

5. Purchase, Licensing & Website Data

BartaAI is offered for a one-time payment with no recurring monthly subscription. When you purchase BartaAI or contact us through our website, billing and contact details may be collected to fulfill your order and deliver customer support.

6. Third-Party Services & No External API Key Requirement

Unlike developer utilities that require you to manage your own API credentials, BartaAI requires no external API keys from the user. Speech recognition capabilities are integrated directly into the software.

As described in Section 3, audio conversion is carried out via third-party speech services. These providers operate independently from BartaAI and may maintain their own data retention and AI model training practices under their respective privacy policies.

7. Data Security & Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, export, correct, or delete personal information associated with your purchase or support inquiries. For dictation transcripts stored on your Windows PC, you can exercise access, export (JSON / CSV), and deletion rights directly inside the BartaAI application at any time.
